S. Antonio’s Library, Bologna

2009-2013 – Executive project – under construction

The project involves the renovation of some areas of a building dating back to the early 20th century. Located on the lower and raised ground floor, the building comprises a Library, a Historical Archive and related deposits. The natural growth of the archive in terms of folders and books stored, made the room insufficient and no longer functional for the purpose. It was then necessary to organize the complex structure of the convent services. The main aim was to streamline the system of warehouses and depots and improve their accessibility and use. Also, all entrances to the building were renovated and made totally accessible for disabled people.
